ALDEN PRODUCTS LAUNCHES MINIATURE METAL SHELL PL-500SM-Z CIRCULAR CONNECTOR
Alden Products Company has launched the newest member of its Pulse-Lok® family of auto-latch circular connectors. The new PL-500SM-Z features a rugged, yet light-weight, zinc alloy shell able to withstand 100 pounds of axial pull and significant side loading. The PL-500SM-Z also offers up to 14 contact positions in a compact .520" diameter housing making it ideal for portable electronic applications in the medical, industrial and data transmission fields where strength, durability and broad functionality are absolutely essential. And like every connector in Alden's Pulse-Lok series, the PL-500SM-Z features Alden's signature Pulse-Lok® coupling, a unique push and click auto-latching mechanism that greatly simplifies mating, providing tactile and visual confirmation that the connector pair is securely engaged.

The PL-500SM-Z is available as a complete overmolded cable assembly in several standard color combinations. Adding to the durability of the 500SM-Z's zinc alloy shell is its IP-65 rating and chemical resistant plating. All this, coupled with Alden's patented Pulse-Lok® auto coupling technology makes this new compact, metal shell, connector ideal for an array of challenging applications.
