Pulse-Lok® - Medical Ware
Recommended Care and Cleaning -
Steam, Radiation, or Chemical Sterilization
The demanding medical environment can test the quality and toughness of an interconnect like none other. From saws and shavers to catheters and probes, these instruments must stand up to repeated use, mechanical stress, and sterilization.
Alden's Pulse-Lok® line of medical connectors and over molded cable assemblies are engineered to withstand the caustic cleansings required for survival in the OR environment. Whether it's the pre-op sterilization of a disposable device utilizing Gamma radiation or EtO gas or a post-op steam cleaning in the auto-clave, the Pulse-Lok® is manufactured using select materials that are up to the task. In applications where chemical soaking is preferred Alden offers optional soaking caps that prevent liquid contamination of the contact system.
One way to keep medical cables clean and reusable is to eliminate areas that might trap contaminants. All Pulse-Lok® strain reliefs are smooth and tapered to eliminate debris traps. The flex relief is bonded to the cable jacket achieving a sealed and seamless transition.
